FORM 1: SHERWOOD PARK PRIMARY ASSOCIATION ATHLETE
- Definition: Primary MHA is Sherwood Park
- Includes:
- Athletes whose Primary MHA is Sherwood Park.
- Athletes who played with SPS Fuzion or SPMHA last season, regardless of residency.
- Athletes who played with SPKAC last season and their Primary MHA is Sherwood Park.
- Requirements:
- Hockey Canada ID (HCR#) from your Hockey Canada Spordle Account

Note: Primary Association athletes are not required to register with SPMHA before registering with SPKAC. If a player is not selected for a SPKAC team, the player will be released back to SPMHA, fees paid will be transferred to SPMHA registration, and any extra funds will be refunded, or remaining payments cancelled. Registration with SPMHA will occur at that time.
FORM 2: NON-PRIMARY ASSOCIATION ATHLETE

- Includes:
- Athletes who played for SPKAC last year and their Primary MHA is not Sherwood Park and their Primary MHA falls within the Sherwood Park Elite Draw Zone (see chart below)
- Athletes who played for an association other than SPS Fuzion or SPMHA last year and their Primary MHA falls within the Sherwood Park Elite Draw Zone (see chart below)
- Athletes registering within Sherwood Park for the first time.
- Requirements:
- Hockey Canada ID (HCR#) from your Hockey Canada Spordle Account
- Birth Certificate Completed Medical Information Form
- If applicable, the athlete has completed and received an approved Hockey Alberta Player Movement Form.
Note: Non-Primary Association Athletes registering with Sherwood Park for the first time are not required to register with their primary MHA before registering with SPKAC. If a player is not selected for an SPKAC team, the player will be released back to their primary association, remaining registration payments will be cancelled and they must register with their primary association at that time (unless accessing 2nd tryout elsewhere).

PAYMENT INFORMATION
- Payments are made online via credit card in installments.
- Installment amounts vary by division. A payment breakdown will be provided during registration.
- Our payment plans are set up to make transitions between SPKAC and SPMHA/SPS Fuzion easy and cost-effective. To avoid extra service fees and to meet SPMHA registration requirements, the initial payment covers the SPMHA registration amount plus the SPKAC tryout fee. We recognize that this initial payment is larger in nature, but it ensures the correct fees are in place if a player doesn’t stay with SPKAC. There are no additional fees charged until September.
- If a player is successful in making a SPKAC team, the remaining balance is split into four equal monthly payments (Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec). If a player is released, the initial payment (minus the tryout fee) is transferred to SPMHA or SPS Fuzion to cover their registration, and any extra money paid is refunded.
- Online service fees are being absorbed by the association.
- If you are unable to pay via credit card, contact the SPMHA Office to make alternate arrangements.
New for 2025-26
Trainer Fees, Practice Jerseys and Practice Socks have been moved into Program Fees and are now collected during registration. Previously these were Team Fees and were paid via Team cash calls.
